I did a little more sanding on the skeleton and got a couple coats of primer on both sides. I took a drill with a wire wheel and cleaned up the inside of the panels. I used a 3M "rapid strip" wheel on a grinder and went over all the outer surfaces of the panels smoothing out gashes in the paint and sanding down high spots. These panels are pretty rough I might end up just getting the entire vehicle shot in bedliner.

I worked on getting the B pillar mounts made up. This took way longer than it should have. Granted i needed to clear out the garage to get in there and work but still it was almost an all day event.

Its time to change direction again. I found a m998 rolling chassis on craigslist a few hours from me. I talked the owner into selling me just the body. I am trying to keep as many of the dodges systems as possible. I want the dodge heater and AC instead of the Hummve heater only. I have been trying to remove the HVAC system from my Dodge but I have had no luck... If anyone has experience in pulling the HVAC system any advice is helpful.

I did a bit of refurbishing on the Fuel filler neck. The metal part had been pulled from the plastic part tearing the mounting holes. I made a washer of sorts out of some 10ga 5052 aluminum. I also glass bead blasted the inside of the unit.

The shifter in the hummer does not have a park option and the coulomb assembly from the dodge will not work. I am going to have to modify the hmmwv unit and add a park option.

I was having issues with disconnecting the AC lines. After spending 3 hours on the connections I finally got them disconnected. I still need to pull the dash again and see if the HVAC unit pulls out now. The other projects have been nagging me as well.

Thanks man! I havent made much progress on the hummer recently. I did pick up some jeep mirrors (for 05 wrangler) that will look quite at home on the hummer.

It was quite a battle but I finally got the HVAC unit pulled out of the dodge. I started to mock things up in the Humvee... this is going to be interesting.

I finally picked up a Dually rear axle to match the front. A 2013 AAM 11.5 axle 4.10 gears. The only issue it has is one hub wont turn (i have a feeling the E-brake is just locked up). The other thing is it is an open diff so a limited slip is definitely in order at some point. Even as wide as this thing is, its still 3" narrower than the front. I figure i will just add a 1/2" spacer to each side and live with it. Now I get to buy yet another specialty socket to pull the hubs...

Just noticed all of your pictures in the start of your post are no longer there through the photobucket link... Do you still have access to them or can you repost them using a new link?
