Recently I bought some X doors from a Government surplus site and paid to have them shipped to me. They arrived in good order but were all the same door, right front. I figured well I'll try to sell 3 off and try to recoup the outlay. A month or so later I get a certified letter saying I must return all 4 doors to the nearest site as the government was supposed to de-mill them and not to have released them for sale. They did offer a complete refund including shipping and return delivery (by the mile), so I'm not out any loss cash wise (I hope), just time and a possible small profit. I didn't want to return them but the surplus site stated that if I didn't return them or tell them where they went they would suspend my bidding privledges. It's kind of scarey to think that if I had sold them to someone how hard it might be to get them back, or if the government would go after the buyer. _________________ 1989 3/4 ton suburban-350 crate motor efi with turbo 400 trans |
